Greetings Fellow Nature Lovers,

The Nature Center Association of Caesar Creek (NCACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is a dedicated group of Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalists (OCVNs) and nature loving volunteers who help people of all ages connect with wildlife and the natural environment through educational and recreational programs in Caesar Creek State Park. We assist the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Park Naturalist with programs such as archery, fishing, wildlife discovery hikes, and water safety throughout the year. The NCACC volunteers also help with animal care in the Nature Center and trail maintenance throughout the park, as well as projects that have improved the park--such as renovating the amphitheater in the campground, painting the bathrooms at the beach and creating a playscape at the Nature Center.

When the pandemic hit, the Nature Center was closed to the general public by the order of the ODNR. However, we did not stop our volunteer work. Although the Nature Center was closed due to the pandemic, the park actually saw a tremendous increase in visitors utilizing the trails, beach, and water activities. Our NCAAC volunteers were able to focus on trail maintenance, bridge repairs, new signs, and begin updating our kiosks, all while maintaining social distancing guidelines We are especially proud that the Perimeter Trail was recognized as the best day hiking trail in Ohio by "The Trek"website and The Best Day Hike in Ohio by the Warren County CVB Monthly E-Newsletter. Check our website https://www.caesarcreeknatureassociation.org to see the monthly reports and accompanying photographs of a few of the things that we have accomplished during these trying times.

Many of our planned fundraising events in 2020 had to be cancelled due to the pandemic, including the very popular Meteor Shower Campout, the Holiday Traditions Workshop, and the Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalists class. These events help provide the funds which enable us to not only continue with the various park maintenance and repairs mention above, but also to help provide many free programs to the public such as kayaking/canoeing events, youth fishing programs, youth archery, and many more. We hope that in 2021 we will be able to gradually resume our programs and welcome visitors back to the Nature Center. Follow us on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/CaesarCreekStatePark/ for updates.

At this time we ask that you renew your NCACC membership, invite you to become a new member of NCAAC, or simply make a donation. Our annual membership dues are only $25. All checks should be made out to "Nature Center Association of Caesar Creek" and mailed to: NCACC, 4006 Pioneer Village Road, Waynesville, Ohio 45068 and your membership card will be mailed to you. Thank you, and remember to get outside! We hope to see you there.
